Drake Portrait & His Response

Hey guys, this will be my last post of 2010! My final piece of art for 2010 is this, Drake Portrait. I am a big fan of Drake and listen to his music when doing most the art I do, and I was asked by Young Money a while ago to do a picture of him, similar to the Lil Wayne one I did. They showed Wayne his a few weeks ago and today I was lucky enough to talk to Drake on Twitter, and send him this picture. He said he liked it and it was amazing talking with one of my favourite music artists.

Here's a better view to see some details. Also, some other important stuff, in the new year I will be changing the address of this blog from http://tobykcaricatures/... to http://tobyk-art/...  because I'm not just doing caricatures anymore. I'm getting a Wacom Cintiq soon as well to use instead of my current Wacom Tablet so hopefully the quality of my work will improve, after a bit of practice:)

Most importantly though, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Peace! :)

Eminem Digital Painting

I found a good picture of Eminem performing and thought it would make an interesting painting. I did a sketch which was quite rough and didn't really look like him so I wasn't sure if I should paint it, but I did and as I painted it and altered things/added details it started to take shape. I did it all with brush #24 in Ps, 100% flow % 100% opacity, and I painted it quite roughly too. Hope you all like it, let me know what you think & happy holidays:)

Ryan Seacrest Caricature & Kim Kardashian Portrait on her Site

Hey everybody, here's a caricature I did recently of  Ryan Seacrest! Hope you all like it, and I hope Ryan sees this.
Also I got told today that Kim Kardashian had put the portrait I did of her on her website!

Those are some screenshots from where she put it on facebook, twitter and her site where she was very complimentary of my picture! Click the picture for a bigger version. I am a big fan of Kim's and I am very grateful that she did this:)
Here is the link to Kim's site & my picture:

LeBron James 24/30" Acrylic Painting

Something very different for me here, a painting on Canvas of LeBron James. I have never really painted onto canvas before and I haven't painted with actual paints in a long time, but I gave the digital painting a break and did this today. I have learned some stuff just from doing this and hope to do more real painting in the future! Here's how I started by drawing on a guideline in pencil:

They're both just photos from my phone so they're not great quality but it does look pretty cool in real life: tweeted it on Twitter too!
Also, Lil Wayne has been shown the recent portrait I painted of him! He said I have talent which is great to hear!
Thanks for visiting guys:)
